Untangled: Plastics Treaty Critical Role in Tackling Fishing Gear

Joint Breakfast Briefing for the Second Round of Plastics Treaty Negotiations (INC2) by Cook Islands, Norway, EIA, SPREP, University of Wollongong and OceanCare.

The briefing will explore both the existing governance framework for plastic fishing gear, taking into consideration existing instruments contributing within their core competencies, the supportive role of regional governance and, importantly, their current limitations, and how this understanding can inform the work of negotiators.
