Thanks to your support, we are able to campaign for species protection in the ocean in more than 12 international bodies – since 2011 with Special Consultative Status on Marine Issues to the UN. It is thanks to you that we can research marine mammals such as whales and dolphins with partner organisations and thus guarantee them better protection.

Plastic knows no national borders. Marine conservation therefore begins on our doorstep. We all have a responsibility for our “blue lungs”. Let´s not forget, the ocean is vital to the health of our planet. It provides us with food, recreation and around 50 percent of our oxygen. But it is also a gigantic cooling system that absorbs much of the heat that is causing climate change all over the world. Without the ocean, the consequences of climate change would be much more noticeable.
UNO Secretary-General António Guterres put it in a nutshell at the first UN Ocean Conference in 2017; «The ocean belongs to us all. Its health is our responsibility, we must save it – and we cannot afford to fail».
Appropriation of funds
of our funds are used for urgent projects to protect marine animals and their habitats.
is spent on fundraising, ensuring that our commitment is sustainable.
of our expenditure goes into our efficient administration.
