Lead Philanthropy
Margarete Neuenschwander loves languages and cultures. After leaving school, she lived in Paris and London. She studied Literature and Linguistics at the University of Zurich, followed by stays abroad in Sweden and Southern Asia.
During her studies, Margarete Neuenschwander already worked as a copywriter and dreamed of using her talents for charitable causes. This wish was to shape her professional career. In German-speaking Switzerland, she set up the branch of the emergency aid organisation Médecins Sans Frontières, which she managed for five years. This was followed by assignments for other non-profit organisations. She also worked for seven years in various functions for the Solar Impulse project and experienced the historic flight around the world first-hand. Subsequently, she was responsible for foundation fundraising for the Special Olympics. As a member of the board of trustees of a development foundation, she has also volunteered for projects in the areas of healthcare, education and ecology for many years.
Since 2019, Margarete Neuenschwander has been contributing her many years of experience in public relations and fundraising to OceanCare.
