Administration Online-Shop
Ed Lüber has accompanied OceanCare since 1989. At Sigrid Lüber's side, he experienced the moment in the Indian Ocean that was to become the birth of this organisation: suddenly, on a diving expedition, the two of them found themselves surrounded by dolphins.
Water is his elixir of life. Ed Lüber was a passionate diver, wind and wave surfer and worked as a resident diving instructor in numerous countries. He became familiar with Swiss waters through his activities as a professional diver and construction foreman specialising in hydraulic engineering.
For more than ten years, Ed Lüber was the Technical Director of an OceanCare whale research programme, which he oversaw at sea as skipper. Even though he generally prefers actions to words, he is articulate and was responsible for a publication for OceanCare's members as an editor for many years. He has also written numerous articles on marine conservation for scientific journals.
Officially, Ed Lüber is retired, but he remains loyal to marine conservation. Today he is responsible for the administration of OceanCare's online shop and, as the kindhearted soul of the team, he lends a hand whenever the need arises. After work, he and his Dalmatian dog are eager to get out into the great outdoors - which he now generally enjoys on land.
