Andreas Bommel is a Certified Accountant. He had worked for Ernst & Young for 16 years before setting up his own business in 2007. He has a profound fascination for the animal and plant world and supports its protection as part of his charitable work. At the same time, Andreas Bommel is also aware of how important intact ecosystems are for a healthy economy and thus for the well-being of people. Between 2008 and 2016, Andreas Bommel audited OceanCare's accounts. As he was impressed by the pragmatic and science-based approach of the organisation, he gave up his auditing mandate in 2016 and became a Member of the Board.
