Olivia Zollinger has been Chief Operating Officer at OceanCare since 2025 and is responsible for the operational and administrative areas of the organisation. She has a legal background (MLaw University of Fribourg) and an MBA in Business Management from the Fox School of Business at Temple University in Philadelphia (USA).
Her professional journey has taken her to a commercial law firm and for six years to the USA, where she lived in Philadelphia and New York. She was a Senior Manager in Global Pricing & Market Access at an international pharmaceutical company. Before joining OceanCare, Olivia Zollinger was active as an entrepreneur in the healthcare sector and played a key role in building what is now the largest network of healthcare startups in Switzerland.
She has extensive experience in the management and governance of organisations and continues to serve on various boards - including Swiss Healthcare Startups and Family Start in the healthcare sector, the Tröckneturm Foundation and the Swiss American Society in the area of culture and society, and family businesses in the real estate sector.
Olivia Zollinger has felt a deep connection to the sea since her childhood - the Aeolian Islands are particularly close to her heart. She has followed the work of OceanCare with great interest for many years. With her structured, solution-oriented approach and strong commitment to the mission, she is excited to actively contribute to the protection of the oceans.
