Ocean Policy and Law Researcher

Christoph Glaser completed his law studies at the University of Vienna and is currently pursuing a further master's degree in International Law alongside his work, including a master's thesis on Biodiversity Beyond National Jurisdiction (BBNJ). His main areas of focus are BBNJ and EU Governance in ocean law–topics that reflect his passion for marine and environmental protection.

Christoph began his journey with OceanCare in 2025 as a Legal Intern, before moving into his current role as Ocean Policy and Law Researcher. Prior to that, he gained practical legal experience as a Legal Assistant at a Viennese law firm, experience he continues to draw on in his current work. Alongside this, he is involved in strategic project work in the sustainability space, including, on the side, a project on sustainable fisheries.
