Anton Mattmüller

International Media Relations Officer

Anton Mattmüller has been responsible for OceanCare’s international media relations since 2026. Originally from Germany, he has been based in Vienna since completing his degree in Journalism and Communication Studies.

A trained journalist, he brings practical editorial experience from working with quality media to his role. Prior to this, he was actively involved in political communication and campaigning as a volunteer, including a strong focus on environmental and nature conservation issues.

At OceanCare, he works closely with the policy team to translate complex topics into media-friendly communication. Making intricate issues understandable, relevant and accessible to public debate is what drives him – alongside his longstanding passion for the ocean.
