Protecting dolphins and sharks
Please support us in protecting dolphins and sharks from hunting
Up to now, it is largely unknown that every year in Peru up to 15,000 dolphins suffer an excruciating death. In spite of a hunting ban, local fishermen keep harpooning the marine mammals to use their flesh as shark bait. The massacre is taking place at sea – concealed from the eyes of the public.
German biologist Stefan Austermühle made an undercover investigation on a shark fishing boat and collected evidence in order to bring these atrocities to light.
How can you help?
Please contribute a donation to our work to raise awareness among Peruvian fishermen so that they quit hunting dolphins and earn their living in a more environmentally sensitive way.
